Less pain, better movement and improved health
Meet Doctor Calah Tenney
Dr. Calah Tenney graduated summa cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Prior to studying at Palmer, she graduated as the salutatorian of her class from the University of Maine with degrees in biochemistry and molecular biology. Dr. Calah is passionate about having her clients experience compassionate, evidence-informed care in a healing environment.
Dr. Calah is a nerd; she is always learning new things and thinking about ways to better serve her clients. The longer she is in practice, the more she knows that the key to helping each patient is first understanding them and the problem that brought them into her office. In research, the number of people in a study is represented by the letter n. Dr. Calah thinks of each client as part of a unique study where n=1 because there is only one person just like you and your care should be customized to your unique needs and preferences. She integrates that with the many techniques that she has learned over the years to find the just-right plan for you.
Dr. Calah has been practicing at Port Townsend Chiropractic for over 15 years. She lives with her husband, Andrew, children, Noah and Ahni, and three of the most adorable and entitled dogs in the world. Most of her spare time and money are spent at the barn, where she is proudly owned by her chestnut thoroughbred mare, Lexi.
how we work
We are passionate about helping you achieve your best self. Working with you as a partner, we treat conditions that cause chronic or acute pain and interfere with mobility – even if you have been suffering for years. We use gentle, effective, science-based techniques. Ongoing advanced training means we can offer you the most effective treatments.
We will discuss your diagnosis and review treatment options with you before beginning your care. We offer several different treatment techniques and tailor your care plan to your specific needs. Care focuses on gentle and progressive chiropractic treatments, emphasizing education and teamwork with you. You will also learn steps you can take on your own to speed healing and prevent injury. Our doctors are happy to work as a team with other types of practitioners, and we will refer you to the proper care if your injury is not appropriate for chiropractic treatment.
We are intentional in our efforts to make our practice a safe and welcoming environment for all clients. If you have unique needs that we could accommodate to make your experience more comfortable or healing, we encourage you to share them with us.
