Connection, Reflection, and Comfort
Dear Friend,
As we move into November with the season’s changes and the upcoming election, I’m feeling increasing tension in our individual and collective bodies. Life’s pressures and uncertainties—especially in times like these—can build fear and make us feel disconnected.
Recently, I had the privilege of guiding the fall SHINE class which was grounded in mindfulness, community-building and collective growth. Through our time together, I witnessed how connecting with ourselves and others can bring renewed calm, hope, and strength- a meaningful reminder that our resilience grows when we practice both self-care and reciprocity.
Below, you’ll find a few resources to encourage you toward moments of mindfulness, connection, and reflection. I hope they bring peace and hope to you as we navigate this tense time.
Guided Mindfulness Break:
Poetry Readings: Here are readings of two poems that speak to me deeply in this season. I hope they bring you the same comfort and reflection they offered me.
Remember, while life can feel unsettling at times, there is strength in finding joy and fostering connection. Taking small moments to reconnect—with yourself, with nature, or with those who bring light into your life—can be a powerful support for both your mind and body. I’m grateful to be part of your journey toward health and well-being, and I look forward to continuing on that path together.
Warmly,
Dr. Calah
